'Virtuality' ha nacido casi muerta y, pese a que hay quien aún tiene esperanzas de que la serie consiga rodarse y emitirse, todo (absolutamente todo) está en contra para que esto ocurra y con un 99,99% de probabilidades no volveremos a saber nunca más de ella.
Ronald D. Moore’s virtual-reality TV movie faced a harsh ratings reality after it aired Friday on the Fox network. Virtuality drew only 1.8 million viewers, scoring a 0.5/2 rating in the adult 18-49 demo for its 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. EST time slot. For the night, Fox trailed ABC, NBC and CBS in overall viewership numbers.
The weak numbers in the Friday night death slot dim prospects for a pick-up order from Fox to expand the sci-fi movie into a full series, which Moore hinted at as a possibility if Virtuality performed strongly. On the plus side, the show from Moore and his Battlestar Galactica co-producer Michael Taylor did receive strong reviews and enthusiastic feedback in Wired.com’s comments section.
